Safe in-studio lessons in the age of COVID-19

I am lucky to have a huge, well ventilated space in which to teach. Entry to my music studio is by a private, dedicated door and I am able to work from a 35 foot distance to the student. Between us, there is a column of constantly moving fresh air. We are able to work and play together beautifully, without ever coming within the zone of separation. I space students apart and sterilize the door handle and music stand before each lesson.

This video starts with the open window at one side of the teaching space, goes to the student’s music stand and separate door, then to the open window opposite the first window (creating a wall of moving air) and finishes with my music stand, 35 feet away from the student.
